Closing Statement – Herm Strongest 2025
What an unforgettable day April 12th turned out to be – the very first Herm Strongest is officially in the books, and what a show it was. To every athlete, spectator, sponsor, and supporter: thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
A huge and heartfelt thanks goes out to all of our sponsors, whose generous support made this entire event possible. You all believed in the vision and helped bring it to life:

To Island Isolates, thank you for your kind support and your generous merchandise donation – your contribution meant a lot to both the team and the competitors.
We were proud to partner with Friends of Frossard Children’s Ward, our chosen charity for the event. Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, we’ve raised over £950, and we’re still counting the final coins from the donation buckets! Thank you to anyone who donated prizes for the raffle – your kindness helped make it a success.
To John and Julia Singer, thank you for allowing this unique event to unfold on your beautiful island. Your support behind the scenes meant everything.
We also owe immense thanks to Guernsey’s Strongest Club’s Casey Girard and Gail Girard for their unwavering encouragement and essential equipment hire, as well as Jon Jordan for loaning us vital kit – it simply couldn’t have happened without you.
To Nicki our resident physio and miracle worker – Thank you for everything, I just wish I had plugged your charity more during the competition. I will personally walk the crowds shaking your bucket in September!
To both our referees who performed faultlessly – Thank you. You were professional and reliable throughout.
To every single person who assisted in any way – whether it was carrying, building, reffing, tidying, fixing, lifting, ferrying or just showing up with a smile – you were part of this. You helped build something special, and we are so deeply grateful.
We do want to apologise for the slightly rushed raffle draw and awards ceremony – the time got away from us in the best (but busiest!) kind of way. For those who had to leave early: certificates and Island Isolates merchandise will be sent your way soon. We’ve not forgotten you.
Now… while we’re still very much recovering from the whirlwind of pulling all this together – and currently powered mostly by caffeine and adrenaline – let’s just say this might not be the last time Herm witnesses this level of strength. Herm Strongest 2026? We’ll leave that idea floating out there…
Finally, we’re already looking ahead to Guernsey Strongest on September 13th – we’ll be there in full support, and we can’t wait to see the island’s finest compete once again.
Thank you all. Herm Strongest 2025 was one for the history books.
Stay Strong 💪
