Athletes wanting to compete
If you wish to compete in Herm Strongest 2025 you will need to register for the competition via our service provider Iron Podium. There are no weight divisions, only gender and experience. There are eight divisions to choose from: Women’s Novice / Women’s Intermediate / Women’s Masters (Over 40) / Women’s Open / Men’s Novice / Men’s Intermediate / Men’s Masters (Over 40) / Men’s Open.
Please be fair with your choices – if you are an experienced athlete we will not accept your application for a Novice division.
You will have to register with Iron Podium, it is very simple. When completed, register for the Herm Strongest 2025 event and fill in the details. You will need to pay the registration fee and also sign the injury waiver.
The waiver eliminates risk for us as a competition provider – you should not lift any weight that may put you at a risk of injury.
Additionally you will have to select your t-shirt size so we can order them for the competition.

Competition day
If you are lucky enough to book a hotel room or cottage at Herm and stay here the night before the event you wont need to do this however for everyone else…
Getting to Herm
Travel Trident will run an early morning boat for Athletes leaving Guernsey inter island quay on April 12th 2025 at 08:00, spectators who wish to travel to Herm early can also use this ferry.

Checking in
Athletes when arriving in Herm are to go to the Admin gazebo which is located on the Harbour. You will need to sign in, receive your t-shirt, record your handle heights for events 3 and 4, and submit your starting weight.
Competition briefing
The judges will organise and brief all athletes at 09:00.
First lift
The first lift will be at 10:00. It is advised that you warm up properly to prevent the risk of injury.
Awards
The events will all be completed before 17:00. The judges will then award the athletes with their awards.
Food & Drinks
Herm will be operating a food and drinks outlet local to the competition. Alcohol and soft drinks will be sold at the drinks gazebo. Hot dogs and burgers will be sold at the food gazebo.
The Mermaid Tavern will be open from 12:00 should anyone wish a different style of food and drink.
After the competition there will be plenty of time for anyone wishing to eat or drink at the Mermaid Tavern.
Return late evening ferry
The return ferry will leave Herm Harbour at 10:30.
